Data We Collect and Share
A plain overview of every type of data PrivatePocket handles, why, who receives it and how long it is kept. It matches our Google Play Data safety declaration.
Stored only on your device (never collected by us)
Created by you and kept in the app’s local database. It is not sent to us unless you choose to share it with the AI Coach.
- Financial records: transactions, payees, notes, accounts and balances, categories, budgets, goals, bills and debts
- Planning: shopping lists, tasks, reminders and habits
- Profile: optional nickname, monthly income, country, currency and financial goal
- Security: a salted hash of your app PIN in Android secure storage (if you set one)
Sent to the AI service only when you ask a question
Purpose: generating your answer. Recipients: our AI service and our AI provider, Google (Gemini API). Retention: not stored by our service; the provider may keep it briefly for abuse monitoring. Optional: yes - you choose the sharing level, and the AI Coach can be turned off.

Technical data kept by our AI service
Purpose: plan limits, rewarded-question credits, abuse prevention and reliability. Contains no financial content.
- One-way hash of an anonymous installation ID (not linked to your name, email or Google account)
- Plan, monthly AI usage and reward credits - until the end of the following month
- Request time, status, response time and token count - up to 30 days
Collected by Google AdMob (Free and Starter plans)
Purpose: showing, measuring and protecting ads. Google may process your advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and ad interactions under its own policy. Personalised ads require your consent where the law requires it. Your financial data is never shared with advertisers.
Purchases (Google Play and RevenueCat)
Purpose: selling and verifying subscriptions. Google Play processes payment; RevenueCat receives purchase receipts, subscription status and an anonymous app user ID. We never receive your card details.
Not collected
- Name, email, phone number or address (no account is required)
- Contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera or precise location
- SMS or mobile-money messages
- Analytics or crash-reporting data from third-party SDKs
Security practices
- All network traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/WSS)
- No AI provider keys or secrets are stored in the app
- Installation IDs are hashed before they are stored or logged
- You can delete your data at any time - see the Data Deletion Policy
