The rules for using PrivatePocket. Please read them, especially the financial information disclaimer.
Agreement
By using PrivatePocket, provided by privatePocket LLC, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Effective date: 2026-10-02.
What PrivatePocket is
PrivatePocket is a personal budgeting and organisation tool. PrivatePocket is not a bank, financial institution, investment adviser, tax adviser, accountant, lender, or payment provider. It does not hold money, move money, connect to bank accounts or execute any financial transaction.
Financial information disclaimer
Information in the app, including calculations, Smart Insights, estimates and AI-generated content, is for general information and budgeting purposes only. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal or other professional advice. Estimates (for example savings or debt payoff projections) are simplified and not guarantees. You are responsible for your financial decisions; consider consulting a qualified professional.
AI limitations
AI-generated information can be incorrect, incomplete or out of date, is not guaranteed, and should be independently verified. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for significant financial decisions. The AI Coach suggests; it never changes your data, moves money or makes decisions for you.
When you use the AI Coach you choose what data it may see. You are responsible for what you share and attach, and for not including other people’s personal information you are not entitled to share.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for keeping your device and backups secure, and for keeping your own backups. Use the app only for lawful purposes and do not attempt to misuse, reverse engineer or overload our services.
Subscriptions and payments
Starter, Basic and Premium are optional monthly subscriptions sold through Google Play. Prices are shown in your currency before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Each plan includes a monthly AI allowance measured in tokens (units of text the AI reads and writes). Allowances reset monthly and do not carry over. Free-plan users may earn single AI answers by choosing to watch rewarded ads, up to a daily limit.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policies and applicable law. Where we have discretion, contact us at felixkipkiruikerich@gmail.com.
Advertising
The Free plan shows ads from third parties, and the Starter plan shows fewer ads. Basic and Premium remove ads. We are not responsible for third-party products advertised.
Intellectual property
The app and its content (excluding your data) are owned by privatePocket LLC and its licensors. Your data remains yours.
Service availability
Core features work offline. Cloud features (AI Coach, subscription verification) depend on internet connectivity and third-party providers and may be unavailable at times. We may change or discontinue features.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" without warranties, and privatePocket LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for losses resulting from decisions made using the app, data loss, or unavailability of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend access to cloud features for misuse.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and forms part of these Terms.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be shown in the app before they apply.
