Data Deletion Policy
PrivatePocket has no user accounts and keeps your financial records on your device, so you can delete your data yourself at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, and how long it takes.
What data exists and where
Almost everything PrivatePocket knows about you lives only on your phone. Our servers never hold your financial records. The only server-side data is technical: a one-way hash of an anonymous installation ID, your plan, monthly AI usage counters, rewarded-question credits and rate-limit counters. None of it contains financial content, names or contact details.
Delete the data on your device
You can permanently erase all records yourself:
- In the app: Settings → Backup & restore → Delete local data. This erases every transaction, account, budget, goal, bill, debt, list, task, habit and setting on the device immediately.
- Or uninstall PrivatePocket. Android removes the app’s database together with the app.
- Backup or export files you created yourself (for example in Downloads or a cloud drive) are not managed by the app. Delete those files separately.
Delete AI service records
In the app: Privacy Center → Delete AI data on our server. This immediately deletes the usage counters, reward credits and rate-limit counters linked to your installation on our AI service.
Our AI service never stores your questions, the data you shared or the answers, so there is no AI conversation content to delete. Any conversation shown in the app stays on your device only and is erased when you delete local data. Our AI provider, Google (Gemini API), may keep requests for a short period for abuse and safety monitoring under its API terms, after which they are deleted automatically.
If you can no longer use the app, email felixkipkiruikerich@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request". We will reply within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days. Technical records also expire automatically: request logs after 30 days and usage counters at the end of the following month.
Advertising data (Free plan)
Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which processes device and ad interaction data under Google’s privacy policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, change your ad consent choice in the app’s Privacy Center, and manage Google data at myaccount.google.com.
Subscription data
Purchases are handled by Google Play and verified through RevenueCat using an anonymous app user ID. Cancelling a subscription does not delete purchase records, which Google and RevenueCat may keep for legal, tax and fraud-prevention purposes. To ask for deletion of the RevenueCat record linked to your anonymous ID, email felixkipkiruikerich@gmail.com and we will forward the request.
What we cannot delete
We cannot access or delete data on your device remotely, files you saved outside the app, or records that Google Play must keep by law. Because we do not identify you, we may ask you to confirm the request from inside the app.
